Day 9: Hirosaki to Akita, 95.7 miles

Suburbs of Hirosaki.

Not many pics today, too busy cycling through some very beautiful countryside. Northern Honshu is very different from Hokkaido. The landscape is less mountainous and it's more fertile, I've never seen so many greenhouses. It's also more industrial but the Japanese don't seem to mind growing crops next to power stations. It has also been a lot warmer, it's been 12 deg, sunny with a cloudless sky for the last two of days.

Heavy industry on the outskirts of Akita

Akita with the ubiquitous TV mast, every city has at least one. Godzilla uses them as toothpicks.
